I’m done with this project after waiting over 6 months to drive it. You ask 6 months! Well, the bank that the previous owner did business with could not find the title. So, with back and forth banter with DMV, banks and loan institutions. I finally got a title in late April 2019 and registered. That is a long time and I already moved onto a new project. I’m done with this project and have no space. Why was the suspension replaced? The stock suspension was shot! When I first got the car and drove it. It sounded like a car wreck when going over bumps. After much research, this is why I went with a coil over kit. So, what are the pro’s and cons of this car. PROs:Man is it fast!Fun to driveIt truly sounds amazing! I have only seen 1 locally since owning this.Handles like a go cart!I give the paint job 8 out of 10 for such an old car Stops like no other! CONs:I cannot find or track down this annoying rattle noise between 2,500 – 3,000 RPMS. This only happens when lightly keeping on the gas to maintain speed. Mostly heard at side street speeds. (Talked with IROZ too and they think it could be exhaust shields or flywheel rattle that needs to be re-torqued).I think the wavetrac or maybe something else makes a card in a bicycle spoke noise when costing in gear at low speeds. Driver side only is where I hear it.I think a professional Audi team mechanic/enthusiast shop needs to set the suspension/alignment again. Only after doing some reading about balancing the car and adjusting camber with coil overs. That non-Audi specialist enthusiast shops don’t do this. They use factory specifications.Passenger side adjustable front sway bar link needs to be tightened or adjusted. (This is why I switched to APR adjustable. I felt the 034 was rubbing and banging to much.)Car has some scratches/scuffs on interior moldingI took the car delivery on a dark and rainy night. I think, the carrier damaged the front lip (see picture). This is why I bought a carbon fiber replacement.The Car Fax report says a minor damage reported. The prior owner had no clue or issues. However, the Auto Check report says a rear end occurred a few years ago. Upon inspection, I cannot see any problems or damage. The hatch closes just fine and do not see or feel rear end problems.I think the car needs a tune again due to elevation changes?? I talked with Fred Nuiz via email at United Motorsports. He needs a VAG read out and the vehicle did and does not come with a VAG reader. He needs this to see what the tune is and did not have one on record??? Unsure why??A couple of the rims have scraps and I think the front black caliber covering have some scarps too.Lastly, the KW suspension delete light wires must be faulty or not plugged in correctly. So, the suspension light comes on after a few miles. Looking into replacing and working with supplier to replace under possible warranty. Please no tire kickers, if you plan to buy, I require a $1,000 deposit immediately after you win the auction. This is car being sold AS IS. If you have additional questions or request for pictures, please do ask. If you want to pay and have peace of mind. I recommend hiring a reputable mobile inspection team to check the car out like CARCHEX, CARPOM etc. I can take to a local Audi dealer that is near me for inspection too. I recommend a covered carrier, I used www.vehicleshippinggroup.com . I worked with a person named Laura. She helped me get a covered carrier bid for a reasonable price and reputable person. Or, a carrier of your choosing. I can drive locally to the carrier for vehicle pick up. Paid $1,800 from Illinois to Washington State in November 2018. The miles will increase with nice weather and back/forth to work. Finally, this car has a loan on it. The asking price is as low as I can go in order to payoff loan. We will have to work with my bank and arrange for final payoff. Not in a hurry to unload either. It's just taking up garage space and I'm looking to start new car project. If you have it, do not forget to factor in your state's sales tax.
